Class News 21/6/2024

Wow! Year 5 have had a very busy week this week! Lots of the children have been out doing amazing activities and those who remained in school have been busy with lovely activities and opportunities. In English, we have focused on our new narrative Dia de Los Muertos, we have it planned out with some amazing description ready to draft on Monday. In maths, we have been working on using a protractor and the children have had great fun practising on tables and figuring out how to use one accurately.

On Wednesday, some children had the opportunity to go to the Key Stage 2 Athletics, the children were fantastic and put 100% into everything they did, they represented our school brilliantly. Some children also had the opportunity to sing opera with professional opera singers at the sports village, they sung beautifully and had an amazing time. Those who stayed in school had the opportunity to work with people from Museum on the Mound to talk all about money, how it was made and what was used as money years ago. It was very interesting and the children had an amazing time discussing their new understanding of money.

Have a lovely weekend in the sunshine 🙂
