Class news 24.3.23

We have been very busy this week in Year Five, we started the week with a workshop from Show Racism The Red Card which the children thoroughly enjoyed. Tuesday was World Poetry Day, we took the opportunity to learn the poem Sick by Shel Silverstein ready for the whole school poetry slam on Thursday, it was great. We also had a visit from Paul who teaches Taiko, the children composed their own drum music and performed their pieces!

In English we have begun to write a non chronological report about the Bedouins, a nomadic tribe that live in the Sahara desert. In Maths we are coming to the end of our work on fractions and we will shortly begin looking at percentages and decimals.

Please remember to return your Bikeability letters if you wish for your child to participate.
