Class News 15/03/2024

This week we have focused hard on our writing and we are almost finished with our non-chronological report on the Bedouins! The children have been working so hard to include the specific sentence types and punctuate their sentences correctly. We look forward to publishing them next week! In maths, we have been continuing with fractions, adding and subtracting mixed numbers has been tricky but the children have been working incredibly hard and should be super proud!

In PE this week we have continued with hockey and will be practising our attacking and defending skills next week. In topic we have been researching about the different animals that live in the Sahara and the children have created some brilliant fact files about them!

20 children in Year 5 were able to take part in the Tri-Golf festival at Outwood Acklam on Thursday! Their behaviour was brilliant and we have some skilled golfers! They all listened carefully and worked really hard and will be sharing their skills with the rest of the class 🙂
