Classroom Teacher
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our team at Newham Bridge Primary School which is proud to be part of the Legacy Learning Trust. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and inspiring students to reach their full potential. This role requires creativity, patience, and the ability to engage students in meaningful ways. The Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction while promoting a love for learning.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the diverse needs of students.
- Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters respect.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to enhance the educational experience for all students.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
Experience
- A recognised teaching qualification is essential, ECT’s welcome to apply.
- Previous experience in a teaching role is mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Familiarity with various teaching methods and educational technologies is an advantage.

Teaching Assistant
LEVEL 3 TEACHING ASSISTANT – To work under the guidance of teaching/senior staff and within an agreed system of supervision, to implement agreed work programmes with individuals/groups. This could include those requiring detailed and specialist knowledge in particular areas and will involve assisting the teacher in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources. Staff may also supervise whole classes occasionally during the short-term absence of teachers. The primary focus will be to maintain good order and to keep pupils on task.
