Summer 2- Week 3

This week has been a very busy week! The children have worked exceptionally hard with many different lessons and activities going on. Monday and Wednesday, we had a double history lesson about crime and punishment during Anglo Saxons, Tudor England and Stewart times and the significance of 1215. The children discovered the reasoning for the Magna Carta being created and the influence that had on monarchs and civilians. We have discussed many different (and bizarre) ways in which people were trialled and punished for different crimes. The children have thoroughly enjoyed their History lessons and we look forward to diving deeper into our topic over the next few weeks.

Tuesday and Friday mornings have been dedicated to our Shakespeare Rocks rehearsals, we are really looking forward to you coming to watch the show as the children have put so much effort into it and we are extremely proud of them.

Wednesday, we had a visit from a local charity called My Sisters Place in which the children acted out a court setting with a judge, jury and barristers.

Throughout the week, the children have been drawing portraits of all the members of staff in school. We cannot wait to share them with everyone!

Please check the homework page to read about the Summer Reading Challenge of 2026. We hope that you will take part! 🙂

Have a wonderful weekend. Please ensure your child brings in a bottle of water to school everyday as it is getting hotter and when practising the play, it can get very hot. 🙂

Congratulations to our pupils of the week!

In 2BV this week Alex achieved pupil of the week for always being a kind and supportive friend, listening to others and coming into school with a smile on his face ready to learn.

In 2KT this week Subhan achieved pupil of the week for amazing progress in writing by discovering his writer’s voice and applying this with confidence.

Happy birthday to Shanaya G and Hizar this week, we hope you both have a wonderful birthday! 🙂
