Class News – 12.5.23

This week your child has worked their socks off!! We are extremely proud of their attitude, commitment and resilience towards SATs week – please make sure you have a weekend of fun to celebrate your child’s achievements.

Thank you for your support in getting your child to school this week for our amazing breakfast! Every belly was full and the room was filled with happiness ready to start each day with a positive mental attitude.

We have also been continuing with our topic work on The Victorians. We looked at paintings from the era, in order to support finding out more about the lifestyles of both rich and poor during this time.  We also looked at some of the incredible inventions and innovations which occurred during Victoria’s reign.  We also continued our wonderful artwork, which depicts some sensational Victorian architecture found on houses across America.

We finished off a hardworking week by having an afternoon of sports outside revisiting netball, basketball and football skills. Please ask your child about which sport they most enjoyed.

Today, your child will come home with their ‘Year 6 Hoodie’. We hope they wear it with pride and remember their huge achievements throughout their learning journey at Newham Bridge Primary School.

Pupil of the Week

Grace – for starting each day with a smile, and showing a positive attitude and commitment to do her best.

Well done to you both for setting a wonderful example. We’re very proud of you!
