Spring 2 wk 5
This week we discovered a reading SATs paper using Now, Press, Play – it was a pleasure to see the children acting out their learning and becoming increasingly engaged with their reading, enabling them to answer comprehension questions with confidence.
In Maths, we have become statistical wizards by interpreting data represented in multiple ways: line graphs, tables, dual bar charts and pie charts. Today, all children had published their final piece of writing about this term’s topic ‘Glorious Galapagos’. Please ask your children about the island’s wonders. You will be amazed by their knowledge and we are sure you will be persuaded to help protect the island as your child is now the proud adoptive parent of a giant tortoise.
During PE this week we completed our sessions Mighty Warriors Yoga. We have really developed in strength, range of balances and our posture. We have included a copy of some of our moves to continue our practice over Easter. On Tuesday, we finished the term with a netball competition between the different house groups. It was great fun and very competitive. Well done to all the children involved.

Pupil of the Week
Zara (for demonstrating the school values around school) & Abbey (for super effort in all her work this week). We are extremely proud of both of you!
During the holiday, the children have a 10 minute homework activity to complete each day. We would like these completed homework booklets, returned to us on the first day back. There will be a prize for handing in 2 completed booklets. This short burst activity is ideal to keep the children sharp over the holiday. We thank you for your support in this matter.
We hope you have an extremely happy Easter break. We look forward to seeing the children back, full of Energy on April 17th.
