During English this week, we were able to complete our narrative writing on Rock, Paper and Scissors. Our stories were fantastic: full of exciting descriptions and dramatic events. We worked exceptionally hard to draft, edit and improve our writing. We even included some images from the film to support our final published pieces of writing.
In Maths, we have been taking a closer look at coordinates and how we can use them to identify if an object has changed position (translation) or has been reflected in a mirror line. You can find out more about it here. The children worked brilliantly and have a good understanding of a really tricky concept.
In Science this week, we continued with our work on electricity, and looked in more detail at circuits. We tried to establish how and why some circuits would or wouldn’t work and then we looked in detail at Volts (the push force, which sends the electrical current around the circuit).

This week saw us build up towards the King’s Coronation on Saturday. On Friday, we enjoyed a special coronation packed lunch together and in the afternoon we tested each other’s class by creating a fiendish coronation quiz. We found out more about the King’s cypher, and used it to create a piece of artwork to go on display at The Endeavour (for their celebration day tomorrow).
