Class News 26/01/2024

This week in English we have continued to draft and edit our letter to Chris Cooke about the pollution within our local area. The children have worked really hard on their piece of writing and we look forward to reading them once they are fully published! In maths, we have moved onto division and focusing on dividing 4 digit numbers by 1 digit numbers with remainders.

Topic this week was focused on the different biomes across the world and we coloured a map into represent them. In science this week, we have focused on our solar system and the distance between the planets! We went onto the school yard and lined the planets in order to understand why some planets have a longer or shorter orbital path. In Pe, we have continued to develop our skills in yoga and netball which has been brilliant!

A quick reminder- please make sure your children spend time practising their spellings and times tables at home to aid them in their work at school, thank you 🙂

Congratulations to D’Arcy in 2BV for her brilliant effort towards her writing.
