Class News 4th November 2022

Class News 4/11/22

This week we have started our new topic Global Goals! We opened our topic
with a read and respond discussing how climate change effects our planet. We
have started our first piece of writing which is a description on an animal
from the scorching Savannah or the freezing Arctic! The children have created
some amazing sentences and we cannot wait to read their final piece!

We have also started a new Maths topic which is multiplication and division!
We have started by looking at fact families for the 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 and 12 times
table! The children are working incredibly hard and we are really impressed
with their multiplication and division skills. We started our new PE sport
which is netball, the children had fun learning new passes and working on their
defending and attacking skills.

Our new science topic is space and the children have been incredibly
enthusiastic as we have looked at the Earth, Moon and Sun this week. This week
we have introduced the children to Duolingo and they have had great fun
learning French, each child has their own login which means they can access it
at home too!

Well done Year 5! We are looking forward to the rest of the term!
