Class News 12/5/23

This week the children have worked exceptionally hard with their balanced argument in English to discuss whether Henry VIII was a ruthless ruler or a revolutionary king! They have been absolutely brilliant in giving both sides to the argument and we cannot wait to read their published piece!

This week in PE we have been continuing with cricket, the children’s throwing, catching, batting and bowling skills have improved. Mrs Short is extremely pleased with their enthusiasm and hard work, keep it up year 5! In science this week, we have been exploring what is the best material for a coffee mug for a teacher (metal was the best!). We discussed thermal insulators and conductors so we could make the correct decision. In Art this week, the children have been working so hard with Miss Howley, producing beautiful and colourful pictures!

Please remember next Wednesday, 17th May, is the school trip. The children must be at school by 8:30am as we need to leave at 8:45am. The children will be due to return at 3:00pm, please collect at normal school hours. They will need a pack lunch, please no glass bottles or fizzy drinks! We are looking forward to it! 🙂
