Welcome Back!

We had a lovely time welcoming everyone back after the Christmas break, we hope you all had a lovely time. This week we launched our new topic Tomb Raiders, where we will have the chance to discover the Ancient Egyptians!

We started the week by welcoming PC Barrett who came in to speak to the children about anti social behaviour and being safe online the children really enjoyed these sessions and participated with great enthusiasm. We have begun our research into the process of mummification this week to support our English work where we will be writing our own procedural texts. In Maths the children have been working on multiplication using formal written methods. In science we have created fact files about the famous ichthyologist (fish scientist) Eugenie Clark and all her amazing discoveries and research in to sharks.

This term PE will be on Tuesdays and Wednesdays please ensure your child comes to school in their PE kit. This is a plain white T-shirt, plain black shorts, joggers or leggings and their school jumper or cardigan. Spellings will still be set, on Spelling Shed and this website, on a Monday for a test on a Friday. Homework will continue to be set on the website on a Thursday and is to be returned on a Monday. Please encourage your child to read at least three times a week at home.

Many thanks for your support Team 5.
