Class News 18th November 2022

We have had a very busy week in Year 5 this week! We started our week by going on a local walk to look at the pollution in our area and how we can reduce it. This has brought may issues to the children’s attention and they will be writing a letter to Andy Preston to inform him about what needs to be done! They have completed plenty of research looking into pollution all around the world and the impact it has on our planet.

Plenty of the children have been out swimming with Mrs Rooney and Miss Howard. They have been trying their best to get their 25 meters. We are beyond proud of how hard they have been working and how brave they have been! Those children who have been staying at school with Miss Vanderson, have been working incredibly hard on their guided reading, Duolingo and geography! We created posters to promote saving energy and ways that we can reduce pollution.

We all completed our end of block assessment in maths and the children did fantastic! Next week is assessment week for year 5, we have no doubt they will be amazing!

Keep up the amazing work Year 5!
