Class News 30/6/23

This week we have started our new piece of writing, which is a non-chronological report on the Mayans! We have spent plenty of time researching lots of interesting information about them and filling our research sheet in preparation for our draft next week. We have also completed our end of block tests in maths and we are really pleased with how the children performed!

The children have contributed their entries to the handwriting competition and their handwriting was beautiful! In science, we have been focusing on soluble and insoluble materials and we have created a poster and tested some interesting materials!

Some of the children were selected to take part in a poetry slam at Middlesbrough Town Hall and they came 5th and 6th out of 18 schools! We are incredibly proud of all the children involved and they should be beyond proud of themselves!

Pupil of the week!

Congratulations to Hachem in 2BV who has received pupil of the week for his positive can-do attitude and brilliant work ethic!

Congratulations to Layla in 2CR who received pupil of the week for her amazing art work and producing an amazing self portrait!

Super Spellers!

Congratulations to all the children who got 10 out of 10 on their spellings this week!

Faheem, Hachem, Layla H, Shia, Inaya, Ajeet, Zak
