Weekly News 20.10.23

Our focus in Reception this week was Autumn. The children have enjoyed exploring the signs of Autumn. We read a lovely book called The Leaf Thief. This story opened up lots of discussions about Autumn. We had a wonderful PE session with Mrs Short, well done to Noah who was our PE Superstar. The Rainbows enjoyed a wonderful music session with Miss Smith.

Important Information

To celebrate World Book day in March ’24, we’ll be holding a week of activities around the theme ‘Reading is magic’.  To help us to celebrate in school, we’d welcome any donations of Halloween decorations you may have from this year.  There will also be a dressing up day, so if you have witch/wizard/Harry Potter costumes, please keep them to use during this week.  If you have any decorations we could use, please send them into school after half term, from Tuesday 7th November.  More information about our reading week will be shared in the new year.  Thank you for your continued support.

Parents Evening

Thank you to those who have booked a slot for Parents Evening. We look forward to seeing you and sharing with you how your child has settled in to Reception and progress made.
