20.1.23

Our week got off to a bright start in Reception this week as we wore bright clothes to support the local charity The Headlight Project. We shared the story about the Colour Monster and talked about how things make us feel.

Tuesday was another busy day with a special visitor from Middlesbrough Library. Librarian, Jess, came into Reception and shared our Book Trust story We’re going to find a MONSTER! She told us about how wonderful the library is, joining is free and that they have lots of wonderful stories and information books for us to borrow.

Maths this week we have been looking at how to make the number 10. We are learning our NUMBERBONDS to 10!

This week we have also been talking about our Golden Rule, We are gentle. We talk lots about being kind and gentle. This week our PUPIL OF THE WEEK for Sunshines is Mila and for Rainbows is Noah. Well done for following our Golden Rules.

We have no birthdays in Reception this week.

Homework this week: Please hear your child read their school book and sign their reading record AND can you snuggle up and share their new book, WE’RE GOING ON THE MONSTER HUNT! Have a look in your child’s homework book for a matching activity this week! Have a lovely weekend and thank you for your continued support! 🙂
