What a lovely busy week in Reception. From the Flight of the Bumble Bee in Music to sea creatures and coral reefs in Literacy. Lots of outdoor learning and lovely to see parents at Come and Read and Stay and Play. Here is a snippet of this weeks fun…

Literacy – This week we shared the story ‘Billy’s Bucket‘ by Kes Gray and Garry Parsons. The children thoroughly enjoyed the story and have designed their own underwater bucket scene. We have some fantastic artists in our Reception class this year!

Floating and sinking
On Thursday, we were scientists! We tested lots of materials to see if they would float or sink. We made predictions and then tested the objects to see if we were right!

Celebration of Learning Assembly
We have been busy preparing our celebration of learning assembly to share with our grown ups on Tuesday next week. We look forward to seeing lots of you there! The children are so excited to showcase their fantastic work.

Stay and Play – Next week will be our last ‘Come and Read’ on Monday morning and ‘Stay and Play’ on Tuesday afternoon. Thank you for supporting our wonderful children and coming into school to share their Early Years journey with them.

PUPIL OF THE WEEK – A big WELL DONE to our Pupils of the week this week- Oaklyn from the Sunshine group and George from the Rainbow group!
