Welcome back – we hope you had a nice Easter break! We can’t believe we are in our final term in Reception! We’re looking forward to making lots of progress this term and preparing for our transition to Year 1!

This week we have been forming letters correctly and writing sentences. Look at our wonderful writing. To help at home, encourage your child to practise writing. Encourage them to say the mantra to help them for the letter correctly e.g. “around the apple and down the leaf – a.”

In maths we are working on numbers beyond 10. We have enjoyed using our Numicon and different practical equipment to help us.

Outdoors, we have been planting beans and strawberries. Thank you to the kind Grandma in KS1 for the donation of plants – we have loved planting this week and will look after them! We also turned our role play area into a Garden Centre! We have enjoyed shopping for plants, making cups of tea and using the till.

Today we have been busy making laterns for Eid. We would like to wish ‘Eid Mubarak’ to all of our families celebrating this week. Have a fantastic day!

PUPIL OF THE WEEK – A big WELL DONE to our Pupils of the week this week- Layla from the Sunshine group and Ivine from Rainbow group!
