Autumn 1- Week 7

This week the children have completed their first assessments within Year 6. They showed resilience and determination when attempting the questions and they should be proud of themselves. We look forward to watching their improvements throughout the year before we complete their real SATs 🙂

Next week we will be going to Eden Camp on Monday. Your child must be in school by 8:10 for us to be able to leave at 8:30. Please ensure your child has sensible footwear as the ground can be wet. Please make sure they have a coat with them as the weather has been very unpredictable. They must have a packed lunch as we will be there all day and return at normal time. No nuts or fizzy drinks please.

On Wednesday, the children who are attending Peat Rigg will be off on their adventure. They must be in school at normal time. We are extremely excited and the children will have an amazing time. Please make sure they are taking old clothes that you don’t mind them getting dirty. They must bring at least two pairs of shoes– one pair that will get wet and they will not be able to put back on and one pair for the rest of the time they are there. They can bring wellies however they are not very good for climbing so old trainers are advised 🙂 Please ensure your child does not bring a mobile phone.

Congratulations to our pupils of the week!

  • Leo in 2BV for not only displaying resilience and determination within his assessments but for asking excellent historical questions within our WW2 workshop this week.
  • Luna in 2KT for her determination to succeed in her first set of year 6 assessments by checking her answers and asking questions in our review to improve her knowledge and understanding.

Have a lovely weekend 🙂
