Summer 1- Week 4

This week the children have came back with an amazing attitude towards learning after a crazy week last week! They have put their all into their piece of writing about Francis and they are absolutely brilliant, they have worked exceptionally hard and we are looking forward to reading their final pieces over the half term. This week the children had the opportunity to audition for our 2025 production of Shakespeare Rocks! We are sending the children home with a letter to tell you about their role.

In maths, we have looked at future aspirations and what the children may want to do when they are older. This then led to a lesson about gross pay, hourly rates and tax. On Tuesday, the children went to Middlesbrough Rugby Training Ground to work with secondary school pupils on team building exercises. Plenty of the children displayed outstanding sportsmanship and encouraged their team wonderfully. This led to Muhammed in 2BV and Laila in 2KT to be awarded with a medal for teamwork. The girls have thoroughly enjoyed continuing their work with Rubies and the boys have loved doing football, health and fitness with MFC.

Well done for another great week year 6! Have a lovely break! 🙂

Congratulations to our pupils of the week!

In 2KT this week Muhammad has received pupil of the week for his confidence to write a narrative independently and share his written work with the class.

In 2BV this week Kiziah has received pupil of the week for her outstanding efforts within writing and taking onboard editing advice.

We wish Khadija, Lilly and Clayton a wonderful birthday! Have an amazing time celebrating! 🙂
