Nursery Team

Mrs Hilton – Nursery Teacher

Mrs Bell – Nursery support

We at Newham Bridge Primary School Nursery have designed our new nursery to recognise the importance of giving our children the best possible start to their education and place great value on the development of our children as individuals. Our Nursery team strive for each individual to achieve their full, unique potential.  We believe in creating a strong partnership with parents and carers, warm and positive relationships between staff and children and in establishing consistent routines across EYFS.

Your child will learn through a wide range of experiences that will take place indoors and outdoors and will follow the EYFS curriculum. There are seven areas of learning and development in the EYFS curriculum and these sets the standards for the learning, development, and care of your child. Three areas are particularly crucial for igniting children’s curiosity and enthusiasm for learning, and for building their capacity to learn, form relationships and thrive, to ensure children are ready for their next stage in their school journey.  These three areas, the prime areas, are:

  • Communication and Language
  • Physical Development
  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development

We also support children in four specific areas, through which the three prime areas are strengthened and applied. The specific areas are:

  • Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Understanding the World
  • Expressive Arts and Design
