Weekly news 4.4.25

This week, the children painted different minibeasts in the painting area. They were shown how to make minibeasts using the junk boxes. They were able to explore with natural materials in the investigation area, making minibeasts with stones, twigs and leaves. They also listened to a story called ‘Matisse’s magical trail’ about an artistic snail and we explained to the children that we are all artists in some way, encouraging them to show off their artistic skills – which they did!

In PE, it has been football week throughout the school, so the nursery children showed off their football skills, moving around the cones and passing it to each other. Mrs Collins visited the children for their weekly music session and enjoyed playing the instruments to the song ‘ I am a music man’. The children were able to take their sunflowers home this week. It would be nice to see photos sent to the school on how much they have grown and we can display the photos.

Showing off their artistic skills

We had children drawing people or animals, making trains, building cars, towers or building a bench to read a book.

Our future footballers

The children took their ball for a walk, controlled the ball and stopped the ball and were able to pass the ball to their friend.
