Nursery 17.7.26

Thank you to everyone for coming along to our last Stay and Play of the Year! We had a fun Bear Hunt, a yummy picnic, a fun play and a presentation of our new books. We were so lucky as the sun shone down on our wonderful children. We are so proud of the progress they have made in Nursery this year and we can’t wait to see them either back in Nursery or in Reception in September. And for those children moving on to new schools, we wish you lots of luck and we will miss you!

These photos are mostly the morning Nursery (I’ll put more afternoon photos on when I’m back in school on Monday and have the other Ipad! Sorry!) Enjoy!

Phonics and Oracy

Some children are trying to write their names, please encourage them to use the Read Write Inc phrases to help them form the letters correctly. Lots of practise over the Summer will help them in September.

Thank you for providing your child with lots of fun activities to develop their fine motor skills too. This will really help when they start writing in Reception.

In September the children will all be working on their Oracy skills. Here are all our signs for you to use or look at with your children at home.

Our story this week…

This week we have enjoyed listening to the story, HUG by Jez Alborough. We loved sharing this and telling each other who we like to hug! We also enjoyed sharing the story Bear by Natalia Shaloshvili.

Certificates

Our pupil of the week this week is… Reece! You are a lovely friend Reece and we hope you enjoy making more new friends in Nursery in September.

A huge well done to the following children who received our School Values certificates this half term…

INSPIRE – Archie! Archie has been inspired by so many toys and things he can find in Nursery and he has even inspired other children to follow his lead! There is nothing we can’t do with sellotape or masking tape!

ENJOY – Juliette! Juliette is always happy in Nursery. We love having you in Nursery Juliette, you are a little ray of sunshine!

ACHIEVE -Leon! It has been lovely to see Leon making small steps of progress in Nursery these past few months. We are so proud of him!

And our Super Star readers go to Jack and Sumayya. Well done for enjoying sharing stories at home. It was hard to choose as so many of you enjoy books! We hope this will continue in September!

And don’t forget to sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge at the Library! Or, check out this link: Summer Reading Challenge

Birthdays

Happy Birthday to Charlie for Wednesday and to Sullivan, Ayan, Sophia and Francesca! Who all have a birthday in the Summer holiday! We hope you all have a wonderful time celebrating!

Mrs Bell, Mrs Lach and I wanted to say a huge thank you to all our wonderful Nursery parents and carers. Thank you for your support this year and for helping your children to be the wonderful children they are. They have really been a joy to have in Nursery and we hope as they move into Reception they continue to enjoy their learning in school. For our children staying in Nursery, Yippee! Let’s have some more fun in September! Have a lovely Summer!
