Nursery 13.2.26

We hope you liked the special cards and gifts we have been making this week. The children talked lots about their special Mummies and what they do for them.

The afternoon children have been welcoming new friends into nursery this week. We have been talking lots about being role models and showing the new children what to do.

Noah’s Mummy came into the afternoon nursery session to talk about looking after Noah’s baby sister. We listened carefully and asked some interesting questions.

After reading ‘The Colour Monster’ again, we have a new ‘Happy Jar’ in nursery and when the children try hard to follow the nursery rules and routines, we put a pompom in the jar. We are looking forward to some ‘Together Time’ when it is full!

At the beginning of the week, we enjoyed the sunshine outside!

The morning children have been working together in the areas. We are encouraging lots of talk while they play.

Our healthy snacks this week were apples, pears, cucumber, pepper, carrot and breadsticks. We talked lots about making healthy choices. Delicious!

In PE this week, we have been practising our gymnastics skills, such as balancing, movement and rolls. Please encourage your child to move in different ways, especially skipping as we are struggling with this skill.

In phonics, we have focussed on beginning sounds of words and oral blending.

Stories this week…

This week we read, I want my Mummy and Guess How Much I Love You.

Which books have you been reading at home this week?

Nursery Pupil of the Week

We would like to give our Pupil of the Week certificate this week to Ismael for being a nursery super star!
