Weekly News 7.2.25

The nursery have had a fabulous week this week, learning the importance of dentists. The children watched ‘My first cbeebies programme on going to the dentist and also dressed up as dentists and dental nurses. They have pretended to clean teeth and learned about why its important to brush their teeth twice a day and what heathy foods to eat to keep their teeth healthy. The children have also been brushing their teeth at the beginning of each session this week. In science, the children learned about their sense of taste and tried different flavoured crisps. In maths, they learned about ‘more or less’, comparing amounts. In PE, the children continued building on their skills of climbing and balancing, but also worked in pair, making the same shapes with their bodies. At the end of the week, the school had a ‘Number Day’ so nursery interacted in activities linking with numbers; painting numbers, making the shape of numbers, matching numbers and singing along to counting songs.
