Weekly News 14.2.25

Happy Valentine’s Day! The nursery have had such a busy and exciting week this week, packed full with many activities. Firstly in maths this week, the children have been recognising shapes around nursery and understanding the number of corners and sides in each of the shapes. In PE, they have been developing their skills, making large and small shapes with their bodies and demonstrating good balancing on the equipment. They were surprised with a visit from the Middlesbrough Fire Brigade who cam to visit at the end of the week, they were so lovely allowing the children to look at their equipment, have a hold of the hose and a seat in the engine. They were so excited and we thanked the Firefighters with some cakes from the School Cook. Then we finished the week with celebrating Valentine’s Day. The children had some circle time, pegging a peg on a love heart and telling us who they loved and why. There was some lovely little phrases that made our hearts melt. What a busy week!
