This week we began with our End of the Year Production of Shakespeare Rocks and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The children took their role seriously: wore the costumes, face paint and verbalised the appropriate tone to their character – we really couldn’t be any prouder of their final outcomes, I am sure you would all agree!
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the school was a little quieter as many of your children attended their transition days. During these days, the children completed a coding project, artwork and supported reception and year 2 with their transition into the different playgrounds and dining halls. Many staff commented on their supporting attitude, explanations given and helpfulness with the children – well done year 6 🙂
On Thursday, the classrooms were full of life again as many children returned to school. They were set the task of producing a postcard for the next year 6 pupils with their top tips to success! The children took this challenge on well and give some wonderful tips and inspiring phrases – Don’t give up! Asking for help is better than not knowing! The more effort you put in the better you become and the easier the work is! After, they produced their staff portraits which will be put on display in a book in our waiting area for staff, children and visitors to browse through – great finishing touches year 6, we cannot wait for the staff to view your representation of them.
Finally, today we have been back into to POP ART. The children have produced an Andy Warhol inspired piece of art based on donuts – Yum! Yum! They look fabulous and they are all really pleased with their finished outcomes 🙂

Everyone is invited to pop along and be a part of your child’s final assembly at Newham Bridge Primary School.
