Welcome Back Year 6!

Welcome back and into Year 6! The children have had an amazing week of working hard and getting used to the routines of Year 6. They have tried their best in everything they have done and we know they will be absolutely brilliant throughout the remainder of the year. Homework diaries are yet to arrive in school, once the children have them you will be able to record any messages and they will be able to keep track of their weekly lessons and tasks. We hope you all have a super weekend and we cannot wait to see you all again on Monday 🙂

Secondary schools are hosting open days as an opportunity for you and your child to go and look around to get an idea of where you will be wanting to apply for for next year. Below are the dates, times and schools if you wish to attend.

We are ensuring that within Newham Bridge every child feels seen in all aspects of school. Within our school we have books that ensure each child sees themselves represented within a piece of literature. There is a poster below to show the different books we have showcased within Year 5 and 6 to ensure children learn about diversity and develop an open mind.

The children have now started to dive into their first topic which is ‘Fallen Fields’. This topic looks at the events that took place in World War 1 and World War 2 and the people that fought in those wars. They have really enjoyed the topic so far so please click on the link below to download and look at the knowledge organiser below with your child to discuss different facts about the two wars.
