Autumn 1- Week 6

We have continued into our final week of PVPG and the children have been great at recalling the different types of nouns, how an independent clause is structured and how to find the subject and the verb of a sentence. In maths the children have worked hard to understand long division and the steps they must follow to be successful. Please remind your children to access TTRS as this will help them to be successful.

In history we did Now Press Play where the children experienced and acted out what it would be like to be a child living during WW2. In science we continued our work on the human body and how to stay healthy through exercise, personal hygiene and a balanced diet. During guided reading this week, we discovered more about the life of Anne Frank and what she went through during the war. The children discussed the impressions they gained about Anne Frank and her life. They were great when in a big discussion about her personality traits and what it was like in the annex.

Well done 6! Another great week! Have another lovely weekend 🙂
