Nursery 2.4.26

It’s been a very busy week in Nursery! We looked at how some Christians celebrate Easter, we tasted Hot Cross Buns, we learnt a song about Hot Cross Buns too, we melted chocolate and made chocolate nests, we practised our finger strengthening exercises and we set up a car wash outdoors! Haven’t we been busy!

The afternoon children enjoyed using the new apparatus too this week. We were taking risks but remembering to keep each other safe by taking turns and walking around the apparatus. Mrs Barker, our assistant head, was very impressed with us!

Here we are getting busy this week!

Our stories this week…

This week, we have enjoyed lots of stories and we’ve also enjoyed listening to and singing our nursery rhymes. Some of the parents and carers were asking about joining the local library. Middlesbrough library has been renovated and there’s Acklam Community Hub and Library. There looks like there’s lots going on. I found this and thought it might be useful to share… What’s On | Middlesbrough Community Hubs & Libraries

Enjoy sharing stories and let us know what’s on at the library if you go!

Nursery Certificates

This week, we have given out our school values awards. In nursery, we are always proud of all our children, and this half term the following children have shown our school values.

Well done to Thomas for inspiring the other children to play with the dinosaurs, Isabelle for enjoying Nursery and Teddy for achieving more independence this half term.

Our STAR READERS were Reece and Tommy! Well done for regularly enjoying our sharing books at home. Please write in your child’s record when you share the story with them. They will continue this in Reception too!

Our Pupil of the Week in Nursery is Taylor. Taylor has tried so hard to follow instructions this week. Well done Taylor!
