Autumn 1- Week 3

We have had a great week and the children are used to the routines and hard work they face in Year 6. This week in English we continued our lessons in PVPG looking at different types of verbs. In maths the children completed their end of unit test and they tried really hard. Please continue to recap the Key Instant Recall Facts to help secure their understanding.

In art this week the children produced some beautiful art work dedicated to the poppies we wear to remember those that have fallen in war. The children took their time to use different mediums to create their desired effect. We look forward to showing you them in our Remembrance assembly. In history we have continued to expand our knowledge on World War I and II. The children have been discussing the impact the outbreak of war had on the children, women and men around Britain and how, as a nation, they needed to come together to help each other out.
