Nursery 9.1.26

Welcome back and happy new year! We have been settling back into routines this week and it has been lovely to see everyone’s smiling faces back in nursery! 🙂

We have been talking about Winter and wearing appropriate clothes for outdoor play, we had a story about having fun in the snow and we have been talking about our emotions. We looked again at the Colour Monster story and how that can help us identify and talk about our emotions.

In draw and dance, we enjoyed listening to Don’t Worry, Be Happy! And drew happy faces! Look at the afternoon children having a great time! 🙂

In PE, we had gymnastics! We were balancing and moving on different parts of our bodies. Wow, they morning children showed great endurance with todays lesson! 🙂

The skill we are working on is taking off and putting on our own socks and shoes! Well done everyone, you can do it!

Story of the Week

This week, we have shared The Greatest Snowman, by Nick Butterworth. Percy the Park keeper and his friends were busy having fun in the snow. Poor hedgehog felt left out! Can your child remember what did Percy built to make hedgehog feel happy?

Nursery Pupil of the Week and School Value Certificates

We would like to present our school values certificates to Maddie, Theo, Lenny.

Our reading certificates go to Francesca and Ayan! We hope you enjoy sharing stories as much as we do!

And our handwriting competition winners were… Theo and Isla! Well done!

We would like to give our first Pupil of the Week certificate of the Spring term to Thomas! For being such a kind and helpful friend in nursery. Thank you Thomas!

Message from Nursery:
