Nursery 5.12.25

Nursery has been transformed into a Christmas wonderland with lots of activities to develop a range of skills. We have the Gingerbread cafe, Nativity small world area, Winter books, ginger play dough, Winter and Christmas arts and crafts and lots more!

Thank you to those parents and carers who could make it to Come and Play this week. We loved sharing nursery and playing with you. THANK YOU for the lovely feedback, next half term we will open the doors again. Date TBA. Lindsey from the Health Team will come along to the next Come and Play too. Thank you for making her feel welcome to our nursery, she enjoyed meeting everyone.

We have been practising for our Nativity performance next week and look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, this is the song we really need to practise…

Skills we are practising: Keep encouraging your child to put on their own coat and wellies. Please make sure everything is named. If your child has come home by mistake with another child’s water bottle, jumper, gloves etc, please bring them back to nursery. Thank you!

Stories of the Week

The stories we have enjoyed sharing together this week have been We’re Going on an Elf Hunt and The Gingerbread Man. We love joining in doing actions!

Happy Birthdays in Nursery

Happy Birthday to Archie on Wednesday and Anayah on Sunday! Sending happy birthday wishes to you both!

Nursery Pupil of the Week

This week has been another lovely, busy week in nursery and we would like to give our Pupil of the Week certificate to Charlie for joining in with our nativity practises. Well done for trying so hard to sit and listen, you showed good concentration this week! Super!

Message from Nursery:

Home Display: Thank you to those who have already sent photos in, we have loved sharing them. To help our home corner look more homely, it would be lovely to share some pictures of your child in their home playing, helping or doing something they enjoy. Please send photos to school and add the subject Nursery or Mrs Huggins – contact@newhambridge.org.uk Thank you for helping us make nursery so lovely!

CHANGE TO PE THIS WEEK: Please can the children wear PE kit on TUESDAY this week. We don’t have PE but it makes it easier for our Nativity costumes. Black leggings or joggers please.

Come and Read will continue this half term. Please come in if you can and enjoy reading with your child. Friday morning 8.30-8.45am. Friday afternoon 12.15-12.30pm.

See the Parent Support Page for more current information on supporting your child. This week, I’ve shared information about reading! Don’t forget to bring your reading book bags in this week.

We hope you have a nice weekend! Mrs Huggins 🙂
