Nursery 19.9.25

What a busy week in nursery.

This week, we have continued to enjoy getting to know the children who are new to our nursery and helping them to settle into our routines. The water area, play dough and craft area have been very popular this week. Lots of lovely models being made with boxes and different materials! The children have been working on listening and sharing nursery toys.

Story of the Week:

We listened to the story about Vashti who thinks she can’t draw! But her teacher helps her to make a mark and see where it takes her! After we listened to the story, we became artists and made our own marks. We used crayons, paint and dabbers to draw dots and circles. Look out for our artwork on display! Developing our fine motor skills is crucial for activities like writing.

Nursery Pupil of the Week

We are so proud of how all our new nursery children are settling in. This week, we would like to give our Pupil of the Week certificate to Theo for settling in to nursery really well and for enjoying lots of different activities. Well done Theo!

Happy 3rd Birthday Reece. We hope you had a great day.

Toothbrushing: The children continue brushing their teeth in nursery as part of our daily routine.

Come and Read starts next Friday, September 26th. Join us to enjoy a story! Morning session is 8.30 till 8.45am. Afternoon session is 12.15 till 12.30pm, (then normal pick up times.) Any questions please ask.

Sharing Books: We are excited to start sending home sharing books. From next Friday your child can choose and bring home a school sharing book to listen to you read, enjoy and talk about the pictures. We will change sharing books every Friday. We hope to encourage all of our children to enjoy reading as much as we do!
