What a busy week in nursery. Our week started off with the story One Snowy Night, by Nick Butterworth, and lots of snowy activities! We couldn’t believe the snow had melted but we still enjoyed the story and kept checking the outdoor area for frost and checking the weather forecast to see if there is more snow coming!
Later in the week, we retold the story pretending to be the shivery animals and also had a fun time with the parachute in the hall.
In PE, the afternoon children were using the equipment safely and moving and balancing using different body parts. The skill we are still working on is taking off and putting on our own socks and shoes! You can do it!
We hope the children who have been off school poorly this week are feeling better. We continue to encourage children to wash their hands regularly, trap germs from coughs and sneezes in tissues and bin tissues as quickly as possible. Please encourage this at home too to reduce the risk of spreading germs.
Story of the Week
This week, we have shared One Snowy Night, by the same author as lasts weeks story, Nick Butterworth. Percy the Park keeper was just snuggling down in his cosy house when he hears a knock at the door! Who could it be? It was the animals in the park shivering in the cold. Percy was kind to invite them in to get cosy too! We liked this story and we liked talking about all the park animals in it. Have you seen any animals in the park?

Nursery Pupil of the Week
We would like to give our Pupil of the Week certificate this week to Andrew! For settling in to nursery really well and for being super helpful too! Well done Andrew!

Monday: Come to school in BRIGHT CLOTHES! Raising money and awareness for the Headlight Project. Afternoon children, we have PE so please wear trainers or plimsols.
Come and Read: Every Friday for the first 15 minutes of the session.
Sharing stories is so important, watch this mum being led by her child’s book choices during story time. They read familiar books so the child can anticipate what’s coming next. (Taken from Words for Life website)
PE Days for the Spring Term are as follows: Please ensure your child is wearing suitable jogging bottoms or leggings, also easy to get on trainers or plimsolls. Please no skirts. Please encourage your child to put their own socks and shoes on. Thank you 🙂
