Nursery 21.11.25

What a fun week in nursery! Our story has Goldilocks and the Three Bears so we have been doing lots of activities to develop our skills through the story. And we loved playing in the snow!

In maths, we are learning the numbers 1 2 3. To help at home, can your child show you toys or objects to match the amount you say, for example, “Show me 1 car, 2 blocks, 3 teddies.” We liked this song to help us…

In phonics, we have been using the mirrors to look at our mouths when we make different sounds. We are playing lots of games to help us listen and say the beginning sounds of words.

And in Music, we listened to Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and used our scarves to conduct the music. We are trying hard to develop our listening skills. There are many benefits to listening and talking about different genres of music. It can help with your child’s emotional development, cognitive skills and creativity. We often put classical music on in nursery while we play. What do you like listening to at home?

Skills to work on at home are putting on their own coats and wellies. For more information about developing independence take a look at the parent support page.

Story of the Week

The story we have enjoyed sharing together this week has been Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We decided Goldilocks shouldn’t have gone in the Three Bears house. We also thought, she should also have said sorry for eating all the porridge, breaking baby bear’s chair and taking a nap in baby bear’s bed! Oh dear Goldilocks! We listened to the story on our Now Press Play headphones too; it’s such good fun!

Happy Birthday Rayner, we hope you have a great day on Sunday!

Nursery Pupil of the Week

This week has been another lovely, busy week in nursery and we would like to give our Pupil of the Week certificate to Archie for enjoying joining in activities. Well done Archie!
