KS1 Weekly News 02.02.24

The children have had a lovely week this week!

1TS & 1HL have been reading ‘Lila and the Secret of Rain’ in English. We explored the characters and discussed how they could be feeling at different events in the story. We interpreted a picture from the story and used some adjectives to describe. This week has been Maths week! We have been practising our number bonds to 10 by finding the missing part. We have enjoyed singing our number bonds song too. We have been combing our Computing and Maths skills through the use of Numbots! We are getting really good at logging in independently.

1MG have been writing our own retells of ‘Lila and the Secret of Rain’ in English. We have been practising our skills and using some expanded noun phrases in our writing. In Maths, we have been making equal groups to begin our multiplication journey! We have been combing our Computing and Maths skills through the use of Numbots!

KS1 have been planning our dioramas this week for our DT project. We have selected our animals and researched their habitats and the climate they live in. We have designed the habitat we are going to make and decided which materials we will use. We are so excited to get started next week. Thankyou for all of your generous shoe box donations!

Thankyou to all who attended our Maths afternoon this week for Maths week. The children thoroughly enjoyed it.
