KS1 Class News – 13.01.2023

We have had a fabulous week in school! We have fully immersed ourselves into our new topic:

In Mr Griffiths’ class this week, we have been learning all about our world. We have recapped our knowledge of Earth and its 7 continents and 5 oceans. Ask us to sing our song and we can tell you all about it!

In Miss Severs’ and Miss Stainthorpe’s classes, we have been exploring the story ‘Off and Away’. We have used our imagination to step into the footsteps of our main character Jo. Then we performed in a role play session and written speech bubbles in our Writing lessons. In History, we have learnt all about what an explorer is and ways in which explorers can record their journeys and findings to share information with people in the future.

Take a look at our recent newsletter:

1ES – George for showcasing some excellent skills in our Dance and Gymnastics PE sessions and working super independently in all he does.

1TS – Rose for arriving at school each day with a huge smile and settling wonderfully into her new phonics group.

1MG – Elsie for trying very hard with all of her work this week in all of her lessons.

Inspire, Enjoy, Achieve

Every half term, we hand out special awards around our school values.

We have no birthdays in KS1 this week but we wish all pupils in KS2 a very happy birthday 🙂
