KS1 Class News – 16.06.23

Class News:

1TS& 1ES:

In English, we have completed some fantastic recounts of our trip to Saltburn. We have used some exciting adjectives and extended our sentences with the use of conjunctions.

In Maths, we have been partitioning numbers to 100 using our knowledge of tens and ones. We have demonstrated this using practical equipment and completed some missing number tracks.

During topic we have explored the question ‘what is a pirate?’ We have asked lots of questions and found out lots of information following our Pirate Day in school.

1MG:

In English, we have been exploring homophones and applying these within our writing. We have been practising using lists correctly in our writing.

In Maths, we have been exploring time practically and pictorially.

During topic we have explored our current knowledge on pirates. We recorded all of the information we know now at the start of our topic and we will revisit this at the end of the topic to measure our progress.
