Welcome back after the half term break. We hope you had a good week.
This week in nursery, we have started learning about traditional stories and doing lots of activities related to the story, Little Red Riding Hood. We dressed up as the characters, retold the story using puppets and turned our home corner into Grandma’s cottage. We had fun on Friday listening to the story using our Now Press Play headphones. It was so lovely to see the children listening and following the story tellers instructions.

Then on Wednesday, we talked about Bonfire Night. We watched some fireworks, painted firework pictures and made edible sparklers! They were delicious!
In maths, we are counting aloud 1,2,3 and 3,2,1. Lots of repetition of this will really helps. We counted down a rocket firework… 3…2…1…Blast off!

We are working on turn taking in play and also when talking to an adult or another child. We say “My turn, your turn.”

Story of the Week
Little Red Riding Hood. We have been using the repeated phrases from the story and talking about the different characters. There are lots of versions of the story, this one is not so gory so better suited to nursery! (We liked that the wolf doesn’t gobble anyone up! Yikes!)

Nursery Pupil of the Week
This week has been a lovely week in nursery and we would like to give our Pupil of the Week certificate to Reece for having a lovely week in nursery. Well done Reece!
