Class news 10.11.23

Well done to our Year 4 (Group 2) swimmers this week who have began their block of swimming lessons. We’re so impressed with the progress they’ve made in their first 4 lessons. Don’t forget, we’re swimming again next week so remember your swimming costume and towel each day.

The remaining Year 4 and Year 3 children have been extremely busy on an exciting D&T project. Over the next two weeks, they’ll be designing and creating their own night light.

In Maths this week some of us have continued to work on addition and subtraction, while others have began their work on area. Remember to keep logging on to TTRS to work on your times tables.

In PE, we began our lessons with Mrs Short. This half term, we’re working on gymnastics. Don’t forget to wear your kit on Wednesdays.

We’ve also started our new topic this week. More information on this can be found further down this week’s page.

Notices & Dates

  • PE is now on a Wednesday.
    • Please come to school in the correct P.E. kit (plain black shorts/leggings/joggers, plain white t-shirt, black trainers/plimsols and a red school jumper/cardigan).
  • Year 4 swimming Group 2 – Tuesday 7th November – Friday 17th November daily.

IMPORTANT

To celebrate World Book day in March ’24, we’ll be holding a week of activities around the theme ‘Reading is magic’.  To help us to celebrate in school, we’d welcome any donations of Halloween decorations you may have from this year.  There will also be a dressing up day, so if you have witch/wizard/Harry Potter costumes, please keep them to use during this week.  If you have any decorations we could use, please send them into school after half term, from Tuesday 7th November.  More information about our reading week will be shared in the new year.  Thank you for your continued support.
