Class news 28.6.24

What a lovely, sunny week we’ve had this week. In English, we’ve continued with our non-chronological report on the River Tees. Our trip to the barrage certainly helped us with this! On Tuesday, we held our KS2 sports day and competed in lots of events. Some of our favourites were the sack race, egg and spoon race and the relay. We all cooled off after a hot morning with a lovely ice-lolly. Well done to all of the children who took part showing great team work and determination. Thank you to all of the families and carers who came to watch.

We’ve got lots of exciting things to come over the following 3 weeks before our summer holidays, including our celebration assemblies, see dates below. We hope you can make it. Keep checking the newsletter for other events.

Notices and dates

Our PE days are Wednesday and Thursday. Please ensure your child arrives at school on those days wearing the correct kit. Spare kits are limited, but will be provided for those children who aren’t in PE kits.

Our kits are a plain white t-shirt, plain black shorts, leggings or jogging bottoms and their red school jumper.

Celebration assemblies

To celebrate the end of the year, we will be hosting special assemblies for Y3 and Y4.

Both will be held on Wednesday 10th July. Y3 is at 2.45pm and Y4 at 2pm. We’re looking forward to sharing all of our stories and successes from the year with you then.
