Class News: 1.12.23

We had a very exciting Friday this week. We arrived to school with a sprinkling of snow outside and lots of Christmas decorations inside. All of the children were very excited.

This week, we have continued with our ‘Escape from Pompeii’ stories. We used the original story as inspiration to write our own endings. We can’t wait to publish them next week. In maths this week, some children continued their work on times tables and others continued their work on place value and understanding number. On Wednesday, we had a different day as we celebrated No Pens day. Throughout the day, we planned and created our own unique piece of art work based on the work of Margerat Godfrey. We were so impressed with the creativity all of the children showed throughout the morning. During the afternoon, we developed our coding with Mr Bowler, had a PE lesson with Mrs Short and created some decorations for our classrooms with Mrs Barker. The children had a lovely day all without a pen or pencil.

Next week is another busy one with ‘Come and Read’ sessions, discos and lots of learning in class. We can’t wait to see you on Monday.

Notices & Dates

  • PE is now on a Wednesday.
    • Please come to school in the correct P.E. kit (plain black shorts/leggings/joggers, plain white t-shirt, black trainers/plimsols and a red school jumper/cardigan).

Our Y3/4 Christmas Disco is on Thursday from 3-4pm. Those children who purchased tickets via the gateway app, should bring their party clothes in a bag ready to change into before the disco.
