Class News 12.1.24

What a wonderful first week back we have had! We have some very tired children ready for a well deserved rest this weekend. We began our new term, by looking back (for our Y4 children) to the Romans. This will help us as we move on to our new topic ‘Raiders’, see the bottom of this page for more information. On Wednesday we had our first music lesson of the term with Mrs Collins we also had our first singing assembly which we all really enjoyed. In maths we have been working on multiplying, some of us have found this tricky, especially multiplying by 100, but we’ve kept working hard. As part of our English lessons, we watched the arrests of the three little pigs! We’re getting ready to write our own diary entry all about the well known story. We ended the week with a wonderful pantomime, Cinderella. What a lovely way to end our super busy week!

Have a lovely weekend everyone. See you all from 8.40 on Monday morning.

We’ll look back first to the work Y4 did in Y3 on the Romans, then look at how Anglo-Saxons shaped Britain before ending our topic with the Viking invasion and the Battle of Hastings. Please find our knowledge organisor below which explains the timeline and some vocabulary your children will be talking about.
