Class News 1.3.24

This week we’ve been super busy with our assessments. We are all so proud of all of the children and the resilience and concentration they’ve shown throughout the week. You’ve definitely earned a long weekend break! Although we’ve been busy, we’ve also managed to squeeze in lots more things. We enjoyed developing our orienteering skills with Mrs Short and netball skills on Thursday. We also enjoyed our weekly music lesson on Wednesday. In art, we began to decorate our Viking Runes. We can’t wait to get them finished. We also began our exciting DT project this week. This half term, we’re going to be creating a pneumatic Viking headship! What a busy week 🙂

Next week is our World Book day week. Please see the information below on some of our activities. Remember school is closed on Monday, so we’ll see you on Tuesday morning. Have a lovely, long weekend.

Notices and dates

Next week is our ‘Reading is Magic’ week linking to World Book Day. As you know, there are lots of exciting events planned throughout the week.

Wednesday – Come and Read for Y3 and Y4 from 8.40 – 9. Come and share a story in the hall.

Thursday – Decorate a potato competition. Please bring your entries to your classroom. Look out for staff entries on KS1 playground. Who will get your vote?

Friday – Optional dress up day! No donation is needed, please come in your favourite book character. If it can be magical, that would be great. If your child doesn’t wish to dress up, they can come in to school in their uniform.

Family Quiz

This year, we have created a quiz to answer together as a family. Please see the link below. The quiz will be online until Tuesday 5th March. Winners will be announced on Friday 8th March on this page so keep your eyes peeled.
