Y3/4 CLASS NEWS – 24/11/23

All the children this week have been busy with our topic Rocks, Relics and Rumbles and pieces of homework have started coming in. They are very different but all have been carefully thought out.

In English we have started to think about a narritive story ending for the storybook Escape from Pompeii. Only the children know which charcters will live or die! In numeracy the children have been working on the four operations; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Notices and Dates

  • PE is now on a Wednesday.
    • Please come to school in the correct P.E. kit (plain black shorts/leggings/joggers, plain white t-shirt, black trainers/plimsols and a red school jumper/cardigan).

IMPORTANT To celebrate World Book day in March ’24, we’ll be holding a week of activities around the theme ‘Reading is magic’.  To help us to celebrate in school, we’d welcome any donations of Halloween decorations you may have from this year.  There will also be a dressing up day, so if you have witch/wizard/Harry Potter costumes, please keep them to use during this week.  If you have any decorations we could use, please send them into school after half term, from Tuesday 7th November.  More information about our reading week will be shared in the new year.  Thank you for your continued support.
