A lovely week in nursery, settling into the indoors and exploring areas outdoors. The children have been learning more about themselves and been painting portraits and telling us how they are different to each other. They have also been making faces in the modelling area, using different materials. They have been counting numbers – using objects, their fingers and linking with nursery rhymes. We have had a visit from Mrs Collins, singing and playing with the instruments. Mrs Short has been teaching nursery different ways to move around the hall. On Wednesday, we started our Come and read session and it was lovely to see many parents visit the nursery and share a book. On Thursday, nursery were learning about Fair trade and learnt about where certain foods come from. They then enjoyed going on a Fair trade hunt, looking for the symbol around the nursery and then having a taste of some Fair trade chocolate.
