Class News 24.5.24

Well done Year 3 & 4 for another brilliant week!

This week we were lucky enough to take a trip to Middlesbrough Town Hall. Once we were there, we got to meet local author, Lisette Auton. She spoke to us all about becoming an author and shared some of her books with us. At the end of the event, we chose another book to take home and she signed them for us. Even though it was a very wet morning, we had a great time. We also made use of homework this week and staged our own march around the school grounds! Thank you for your support with this half terms homework, the results were amazing and the children loved sharing their work with their classmates.

Have a lovely half term break. We’ll see you back in school for the last half term on the year on Monday 3rd June.

Notices and dates

Next half term, our PE days are Wednesday and Thursday. Please ensure your child arrives at school on those days wearing the correct kit. Spare kits are limited, but will be provided for those children who aren’t in PE kits.

Our kits are a plain white t.shirt, plain black shorts, leggings or jogging bottoms and their red school jumper.

Trips

We will also begin our new topic all about wild weather and rivers. To link to this, we will be visiting Tees Barrage and the river Tees. Year 3 will visit on Wednesday 12th June and Y4 the following day on Thursday 13th June. Letters will be sent home on the first day back after half term.

Uniform

As we approach the final half term, it would be great to see all of our children in the correct uniform each day. Our uniform includes grey trousers, shorts or skirts and plain black shoes. More information can be found on our weekly newsletter.
