Homework Week Beginning 14.04.2025

For those parents unable to attend this evening. This is the powerpoint shared, if you have any questions please contact school and someone will return the call.

We hope you all have a lovely Easter Break, but as we are nearer our end of KS2 assessments we have set the children a challenge. There are 10 mini Maths and Reading checks to complete over their 16 days off. These checks are to take no more than 10 minutes to complete. For all completed pieces of homework their name will be put into a hat to win a prize – Good Luck!

Reading Plus, Ed Shed and TTRS remain available for your child to access over the holidays, there is no set requirement for these platforms of study it is just another tool available to your child during the Easter break should they wish to continue their independent studies.

NRICH Live Problem

This problem is similar to Light the Lights, but slightly more tricky. You may like to try that one first.

Here is a machine with four coloured lights. Each light responds to a rule.

When you type in a number, lights go on if their rule is satisfied.

If the number satisfies more than one rule, then more than one colour will light up.

Type in some numbers and see which lights you can switch on.

Andrew (author of SATs Like a Ninja and experienced Y6 teacher) will be uploading Maths Arithmetic Revision videos every week for the next 16 weeks via his YouTube channel. If you would like to engage in this, please follow the link to register: https://vocabularyninja.co.uk/16-weeks-to-sats/. The final 3 weeks of these Maths revision videos will continue during the Easter break. We have had some great feedback from some of the pupils accessing them 🙂
