Homework Week Beginning 25.11.2024

This week your child will be looking at a GPS paper to support them in their knowledge and understanding of written questions. As part of this process we will be accessing the spelling part, please encourage your child to access the challenges set on EdShed this week to support them in their preparation for this on Friday. We recommend 5 minutes every night on EdShed to support your child’s recall and understanding of these words. Please set each other challenges to use the word within conversation during the week.

Every week for Reading your child will have their own reading book chosen from the library to quiz on using Accelerated Reader, and they will receive 6 assignments on Reading Plus to complete (your child will have time in school to access Reading Plus too to ensure they can complete the assignments). This week your child will be completing their Star Reader Review, they will receive a new book band for reading. Once they have chosen their new book, please take time to speak with your child about their chosen book and share their text with them. Remember to record your child’s reading in their homework diary.

For Maths this week, we would like your child to complete Test 4 in their CGP booklet. On TTRS please complete a Soundcheck this will provide your child with a score out of 25 – I wonder how many Full House Rock Stars we will achieve! 🙂

For English this week, we would like your child to complete Test 4 in their GPS and Reading CGP booklet.

Just a reminder to parents, each test is designed to be completed in 10 minutes. During homework club, your child will be advised to stick to these timings to support them with their speed; they will also have access to support from a range of staff supporting. We look forward to working with your child again this week 🙂
